Global Mobility Services (GMS)
- Compose correspondence for companies with expatriate employees
- Assist in conducting tax research relating to expatriate employees
- Prepare miscellaneous tax, payroll and international assignment cost projection calculations
- Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate employees
- Draft correspondence with IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates
- Review U.S. payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements
- Work with global KPMG offices regarding coordination of foreign tax matters
- Bilingual correspondence with international assignees in English and Japanese
Education requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college/university; concentration in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Associate fulltime candidates should have targeted graduation dates from December 2023 through summer 2024
- Intern candidates should have targeted graduation dates from Spring 2024 through Summer 2026
- Business level in Japanese, business level in English
Business Tax Services (BTS)
- Preparation of tax returns, extensions, and estimates
- Research of international and domestic tax matters
- Preparation of tax advice for clients
- Correspondence with tax agencies
Education requirements:
- Bachelor of accountancy or master of accountancy degree from an accredited college/university
- Candidates must meet US CPA eligibility to sit the exam in the state they intend to work by the time of graduation. Note – most states require 150 credit hours
- Associate fulltime candidates should have targeted graduation dates from December 2023 through Summer 2024
- Intern candidates should have targeted graduation dates from Spring 2024 through Summer 2026
- Business level in Japanese, business level in English
