Regina Mayor serves as KPMG’s Global and U.S. Sector Leader for Energy and Natural Resources. In both capacities, she helps determine the Firm’s strategy to better serve the industry as well as optimize the delivery of KPMG’s services nationally and globally. She is a recognized thought leader on the disruptive trends facing the various segments of the energy value chain – from the impact of millennials and baby boomers on gasoline consumption to the rapidly changing demands in the power generation and consumption segment.
Regina has over 25 years of experience delivering large-scale business and technology changes to major energy companies around the world, and serves as the lead partner for several of KPMG’s key Energy clients. Her expertise in providing advisory services spans across the entire energy value chain from wellhead to retail and from power plant to burner tip. Additionally, Regina is a strong voice supporting women’s leadership and networking programs for women in energy and serves as co-chair of the Houston Women Corporate Directors Chapter.
Regina is a sought-after speaker participating in major industry forums including: KPMG's annual Global Energy Conference, Gastech 2017, U.S. Energy Association’s Annual Supply Conference, Hart Energy Capital Conference, Women’s Energy Network, Argus Americas Crude Conference, Platt’s LNG Conference, ADVANCE Power Conference for Women, and EUCI’s Leadership Conference for Women in Energy, among others. She has attended the World Economic Forum, an elite event bringing together business, political and academic leaders to discuss world issues. Additionally, she has published several papers on performance improvement demonstrated through tangible, financial results, and is a recognized thought leader in the ongoing industry discussion in local and national news outlets, appearing in many prominent publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Markets (radio), and Bloomberg Daybreak Americas (TV). She was recognized by the Houston Business Journal in 2017 for Women Who Mean Business, and as a “Who’s Who in Energy” every year since 2013. Additionally, she was named to Oil & Gas Investor’s 2018 Most Influential Women in Energy list, and Houston Woman Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2016 list.
Regina currently serves on the board of Cornell University’s Cornell Energy Institute, as well as the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR). She served as an adjunct professor at Rice University’s Jones School of Business teaching energy strategy to professional MBA candidates in 2013 and 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University. She was an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and interned at the Pentagon as part of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) liaison office. Regina was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii.
