Julie Luecht is KPMG’s Energy and Natural Resources Advisory Practice Leader for the Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals Sector and Houston Business Unit Advisory Office Leader. She is also KPMG’s lead relationship partner for a power and utility company and a major oil and gas company.
Julie has over 25 years of experience working with FORTUNE 500 energy and commodity organizations specializing in projects related to large risk management transformations, compliance, risk reporting, analytics, treasury, energy trading and risk management systems, governance and controls, enterprise risk management, process optimization and cost reduction projects.
In her Advisory leadership role, she has the responsibility of executing the firm’s strategy but also implementing her own market strategy to continue growing the practice, investing in and building innovative solutions, and building a strong, high performing team.
As the Advisory Office Leader, Julie has spearheaded several initiatives and programs to recruit, maintain, develop, and manage talent. During her tenure as the Advisory Office Leader, she has been active with campus recruiting, summer internship program, and onboarding of new associates. In addition, she has developed creative programs to increase morale, teaming, and collaboration.
Julie is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion at KPMG, and has made it a priority to build a work culture that embraces individuals with different backgrounds and cultures. She also serves on the Steering Committee Member of KPMG’s Network of Women.
She’s also passionate and committed to serving her community and is actively involved with the following organizations: member of United Way Women’s Initiative since 2016, Board member for Make-A-Wish and Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She’s been an Alexis de Tocqueville member since 2003.
Julie graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance.
