KPMG in the U.S.

Todd is the National Audit Leader for KPMG’s Power and Utilities practice. He is based in KPMG’s New York office and has extensive experience serving both the industrial markets and power and utilities industries. He has strong international experience working with large multinational SEC audit clients. He has worked extensively over his career with independent power producers, regulated utilities, alternative energy companies and power plant manufacturers.

Professional and industry experience

Todd has substantial experience leading and coordinating large multinational audit engagements. His audit experience ranges from SEC filings of foreign and domestic filers, carve-out financial statement audits, public debt offerings, FERC reporting requirements and IFRS conversions. His experience includes:

  • Three years of international experience with KPMG in Germany, serving one of KPMG’s largest clients worldwide
  • KPMG financial derivative resource
  • Overseeing the audit and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, 6-K, S-8, 144A)
  • Leading the audit of the IFRS conversion for a large foreign private issuer
  • Providing U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC advisory support on complex transactions to clients as well as KPMG engagement teams worldwide
  • Providing the design and execution of audit procedures to evaluate clients initial compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act section 404
  • Leading the comfort letter process for various multibillion-dollar debt offerings listed on both foreign and domestic exchanges
  • Responsible for the audits of various multibillion dollar power producers and electric utilities in the New York/New England region
  • Experience assisting a portfolio of energy clients with attestation and agreed upon procedures reports in connection with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Section 1603 government grant program for renewable energy projects
  • Presenting to industry groups such as Edison Electric Institute and American Gas Association.
