Engagement experience

  • Our client is modernizing its accounting and reporting technology to address legacy technology challenges. We are working closely with our client with the design, requirements, and configuration of a centralized accounting hub application. The solution will enable multi-GAAP reporting, event-based, accounting, and reporting solution.
  • Our client, a regional bank, had experienced multiple organizational changes over time with a history of underinvesting in finance technology. Management realized it needed an outside perspective on how technologies are changing and what makes sense to position them appropriately for the future. The objective of the project was to develop a five-year technology roadmap for the finance organization. David was the engagement partner who supported management and IT throughout the project to define the finance technology vision and multiyear roadmap. In addition, we develop the execution plan and the business case for the modernization of finance function for senior management and the board.
  • A long-standing client needed assistance to define its finance vision and target future state, including approaches to achieve the future state. It wanted to rethink and challenge the norm to define an outcome that would have a truly transformational impact. Working closely with his team, David helped the client rethink the future of its finance organization. We considered how to accomplish the objective of becoming a strategic business partner while maintaining the core values of financial reporting. Through close collaboration, we provided management with a new perspective on what can be accomplished and their aspiration goals for finance. The outcome of this project has formed a core theme across its transformation programs and has been adopted in other parts of their organization.
  • Our client’s senior leadership recognized after a future of finance innovation session that it would be valuable to gain an outside perspective on its future finance vision. As engagement partner, David worked closely with senior management, interviewing all key finance leaders to gain perspective on their priorities and facilitated a day and a half strategic discussion with the finance senior leadership team. Through this exercise, we obtained clarity on management priorities and identified and prioritized immediate areas of focus. From this original strategy, we supported the client with a detailed analysis and rationalization of the finance application landscape and developed the prioritized execution roadmap.
  • David’s client is in the midst of a multiyear finance transformation program focused on enabling a single source of data for finance while improving its processes and technologies. He was the engagement partner, working closely with his client and a global team to perform the source system data analysis as we developed and extended the single source of data for the finance team.
