Professional and Industry Experience
Bill has helped clients and led engagements across a variety of front, middle, and back office disciplines. His experience is particularly deep in areas related to market and reference data, trading systems and high frequency trading, order & execution management systems, and exchanges and alternative trading systems/dark pools.
Bill has been widely recognized as a thought leader on current opportunities and challenges facing exchanges and global market participants. Prior to joining Accenture, he was a principal at Rich, Inc. which developed the first real-time trading system used in the world’s dealing rooms (now the core of Reuters’ RMDS) and a principal at FD Consulting which developed the first high speed commercial ticker plant. He has in the past served on the boards of financial services companies including Exegy and Correctnet.
- Led design/build/launch programs to create some of the most innovative electronic exchanges and trading platforms in the industry including the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), FXall, and Bondbook.
- Led a team which operated on an outsourced basis the NY and London trading operations for a large global investment bank.
- Bill has advised on and executed a myriad of strategic sourcing engagements including pioneering initiatives around outsourced referenced data cleansing and investment research.
- Led engagements at 5 different global investment banks to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies across a broad range of their front, middle, and back office operations.
