November car production makes for disappointing reading, but pent up demand may be released in the New Year
November car production makes for disappointing reading
Justin Benson, UK head of automotive at KPMG, comments on latest SMMT new car registration figures for the month of November.
Commenting on the latest SMMT new car registration figures for the month of November, Justin Benson, UK head of automotive at KPMG, said:
“The latest car production numbers are disappointing, but it’s all about consumer confidence. People have been waiting for more certainty, as well as the result of the general election. Markets and foreign exchanges have been ‘reasonably’ kind to the result so far, which bodes well for some pent up demand in the New Year. Raise a cheer this festive season to the power of the consumer as confidence improves.”
