Liz Claydon has been appointed as Sector Lead for UK Life Sciences at KPMG.
Liz Claydon has been appointed as Sector Lead for UK Life Sciences at KPMG. Liz is succeeding Chris Stirling who will continue to lead KPMG’s Global Life Science practice until December when he will retire from the firm after 37 years.
For the past five years, Liz has been the UK Sector Head for Consumer and Retail, and prior to this held various leadership positions within Deal Advisory as a Transaction Services partner.
Chris Stirling, Global Head of Life Sciences at KPMG, comments on Liz’s appointment: “Liz’s unrivalled experienced in consumer markets will be a huge asset to our clients in the Life Sciences sector. She has led on some of the consumer sector’s largest domestic and cross-border deals in recent years.
“Since last year, it’s no surprise that we have seen a real shift in life sciences clients’ focus to consumer, as sector convergence continues to ramp up. Liz will be able to leverage her knowledge and insights from her consumer markets roles and is absolutely the best person to lead the Life Sciences team here in the UK and evolve our footprint across the industry.”
Liz adds: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been appointed as KPMG UK’s Sector Lead for Life Sciences. It is a hugely exciting time for the market with plenty of M&A activity and strategic alliances expected this year. But it’s also a time of real uncertainty as clients navigate the changing environment as a result of Brexit, tax reforms, and US policy. Our clients need our advice more than ever.”
