KPMG in the UK has announced the promotion of 42 partners and 132 directors.*
Bill Michael, Chairman and Senior Partner of KPMG in the UK, said:
“Our clients are living through a period of significant change. Geopolitics, evolving regulation and disruptive technology are fundamentally reshaping their markets. This makes it a challenging, but exciting time to help our clients.
“Our market leading regional business continues to go from strength to strength and we expect this to continue as the economy begins to rebalance away from London. Consequently 30% of our new partners and directors are based in offices outside the capital to meet growing demand from our clients.
“This year 33% of those promoted to director and 29% of those promoted to partner were women. I am committed to retaining and promoting more diverse talent to senior roles in the firm. Our targeted sponsorship, leadership and talent programmes will play a key role in the development of our leaders of the future.”
*Promotions broken down by service: 24% - consulting; 23% - audit; 18% – tax; 18% - deal advisory and 17% - sales and business services functions.
