“What we’ve also learned is that the organisations that survive, and indeed thrive, are the ones that are adaptable and flexible, and have the ability to respond quickly. They also tend to be the ones that are tech-savvy.”

In our latest video on the new reality, Martin Molley, Head of CIO Advisory, discusses the importance of being adaptable and flexible, and having the ability to respond quickly.

There are three important questions that businesses need to ask themselves: does the business understand the skills its people have? Are you able to match activity planned and matching the skills they require? Does the business have the systems in place to manage its people to best deploy them based on their skills?

Unless the answer to all of these question is, yes, there are likely to be challenges you will face. We believe there are three key things that need to be focused on:

  • Understand your people. Using the tools and technology available to capture that information and use it for matching skills and activity.
  • Understand your portfolio of activity. Articulate that activity in the language of skills.
  • Set up the business for success. Take a three to five year view and investing in it.

Watch our on-demand webinar “Technology in the new reality – adapting to changing consumer and employee needs while protecting and sustaining your business” for further insights on the steps to take to be prepared and ready for the future making the most of people and technology.
