The impact of COVID-19 on the automotive supply chain has been unprecedented and whilst lockdown measures across the globe are starting to be relaxed, the industry will remain challenged by the impact of the pandemic for some time yet.

Whilst Governments look to re-start economies, we look at the challenges this presents to original equipment manufacturers and suppliers including;

  • The industry pre COVID-19 and what the landscape looks like now
  • Re-starting production
  • Supplier switching and supply chain routes
  • Anticipated supply and demand side impacts

This period will undoubtedly be extremely challenging for most of the supply chain, so we have identified key steps covering short-term resilience, developing capabilities and future business for the mid-term that we believe will help organisations build resilience through the pandemic and set themselves up for recovery and the new reality.
