Following a recent update, the final version of The Capital Allowances (Structures and Buildings Allowances) Regulations 2019 have now been made. The Structures and Buildings Allowance (SBA) was announced on 29 October 2018 with immediate effect. At the time of writing, HMRC guidance is still awaited but is also expected to be published this month.
A new study has been released that yields significant global findings as to the relative compliance burden of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) around the world. Using an exclusive VAT Diagnostic tool developed for the purposes of this study, University of New South Wales, Sydney has released a new comparative assessment, which considers the compliance requirements and related administrative burden associated with adhering to local VAT and GST rules across 47 different jurisdictions.
