In a Written Ministerial Statement, the Financial Secretary to HM Treasury, Mel Stride, has confirmed that Finance (No.3) Bill (Finance Bill 2019) will be published on Wednesday 7 November 2018. We will provide further commentary on any significant changes to the draft clauses, which were published on 6 July 2018, once Finance Bill 2019 has been published.
The OECD has published practical guidance on how financial institutions can identify and gather information on the potential misuse of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) by the users of so-called ‘golden passports or visas’ which can then be exchanged between tax authorities.
KPMG has, for the fifth year running, launched their annual competition to find the Best British Tech Startup. The competition enables startups to demonstrate their market potential, innovation and the benefits of their products to a panel of industry experts in Cambridge, Oxford, London, Manchester and Birmingham, with the regional winners being flown to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to compete for the title.
