Led by Ed Thomas, UK Head of Transport, our Transport team is made up of over 300 transport professionals working across all transport sub-sectors. Our UK Transport team also has access to KPMG’s global network of 152 member firms, allowing access to a network global experts at our fingertips. Our Transport practice provides a wide range of consultancy, tax, audit and financial services to both public and private transport and logistics clients. Our member firms advise both public sector transport authorities and privately owned transport groups. Our capabilities cover:

Examples of our work include:

  • Advised Transport for London on two of its major capital projects – the business case for Crossrail 2 and the procurement of Silvertown Tunnel. We are also supporting London Underground on its Maintenance Modernisation programme to optimise efficiency across its business.
  • Provided support to DFT and HS2 Ltd on developing the Strategic, Economic and Financial Cases for HS2 – the UK’s largest ever infrastructure project.
  • Customer Journey Mapping for a Major UK Hub Airport. We delivered key insights to one of the UK’s leading hub airports to enable better understanding of customer experience through the end-to-end airport customer journey.
