Mark leads KPMG’s deal advisory financial services tax team in the United Kingdom, where his primary role is the provision of tax advice to clients across the financial services sector in relation to mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and related funding.
Mark has over 20 years of tax experience, 9 of which were spent in banking in London, leading global M&A and structural refom tax teams prior to joining KPMG in 2017.
Mark specialises in providing tax advice and structuring within a financial services environment, with particular focus on both the tax and capital impacts of acquisitions, disposals, restructuring and ring fencing operations. He also has in depth knowledge and first hand experience of the reporting and compliance obligations unique to banks and asset managers across all taxes.
Mark holds qualifications with both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and earned a BA degree in Economics from the University of Durham.
