David is a Tax Partner and Head of KPMG’s Innovation Reliefs and Incentives Group. Based in London, David leads a multidisciplinary team of scientists/engineers, accountants and tax specialists who assist clients that range from large national and multi-national organisations to small- medium size enterprises. David has been involved in claims for R&D tax relief since the inception of the super tax deduction in 2000 and before that in relation to scientific research allowance claims. He has worked with companies involved in many different areas of research to help them take full advantage of the various reliefs available. David’s extensive knowledge and experience with R&D tax relief has enabled him to assist clients in managing and facilitating agreement of enquiries from HMRC. More recently he has worked extensively with companies to help design and implement real time systems for identifying and capturing relief for R&D expenditure.
