Claire is Head of Education, Skills and Productivity and a member of KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare Leadership Team. She has 25 years of experience working with the public sector on improving public services. She has a strong reputation in the leadership of large change programmes in regulation, higher education, skills, health, criminal justice, security and defence.

A regulatory expert, Claire leads KPMG’s work on public service regulation, particularly in health and education, and works extensively with regulatory clients on professional standards.

Claire leads KPMG’s work on leadership development for the NHS, working with the NHS Leadership Academy and a consortium of organisations to design and deliver award-winning leadership programmes - reaching over 3000 NHS senior leaders to date.

Claire has extensive experience in higher education, having led engagements for many years on university expansion, strategy and reform in the UK and internationally. Before joining KPMG in 2001, Claire worked at the Higher Education Funding Council for England and at the University of Newport, as a European Officer. She began her career at the European Commission.

Claire is a member of KPMG’s Inclusive Leadership Board, established to challenge KPMG’s progress in this important area. She is the senior sponsor for Breathe, KPMG's award winning LGBT+ network. She speaks regularly on inclusion, diversity and social mobility.

Claire is a Fellow of the University of Worcester and a Non-Executive Director of the Commonwealth Games Council for Wales.
