Anthony is an Associate Director within KPMG’s Special Situation Group. Anthony has more than 10 years experience focusing on identifying and supporting the implementation of initiatives to drive profit improvements and sustainable working capital/ cash flow improvements.
Anthony has worked with many retailers both internationally and the in UK. During his career Anthony has:
Led an inventory reduction programme at a major UK grocer which had a year end cash improvement target. He delivered over £25 million through inventory reduction initiatives including an open-to-buy model.
Led a working capital review at a large UK wholesaler which looked across the full working capital cycle identifying and quantifying initiatives to improve cash performance. Anthony then supported the business to realise over £20 million sustainable cash improvement within 6 months.
Performed a product and supplier profitability review at a leading European department store identifying strategic, commercial and operational profit and cash improvements from the analysis and advising management on how to realise value.
Over the last 12-18 months he has also lead a number of engagements helping retailers interpret and get prepared for the UK payment practices and performance reporting legislation. These engagements often generated process improvements to improve payment reporting compliance and working capital.
