Gavin advises high net worth individuals on all aspects of personal taxation. He specialises in international tax issues and supporting Private Equity and Fund executives.
Gavin joined KPMG in 2003, completing his professional accountancy and tax training with the firm.
He leads our Private Client team focused on supporting individuals who work and operate in Private Equity, Hedge Fund and Financial Services industries. His clients include the executives of a number of leading Private Equity and Hedge Funds. He frequently advises individuals on the taxation of carried interest and co-investments, together with their associated reporting obligations.
Gavin is a member of KPMG’s International Private Client Network and has actively participated in KPMG’s response to a number of government consultations. His focus on international advice leads him to specialise in matters including domicile, remittance and residence issues. His clients include internationally focused high net worth individuals operating cross-border, together with their families and foreign holding structures, such as non-UK resident family trusts.
Gavin’s client base often seek advice from him on foreign property acquisitions, luxury assets and personal investment holding structures, balancing commercial requirements against broader succession and family considerations.
He was listed as one of the ‘Top 35 under 35 Private Client Practitioners’ in 2013 and, again, in 2016.
