Director of Investment Advisory and Head of Investment Strategy

Calum is a Director in KPMG’s Investment Advisory business based in our Glasgow office. Calum is qualified Actuary and is Head of Investment Strategy for our national pensions practice.
Calum started his career in Reinsurance in 2004, focusing on valuation and mortality modelling. He made the move into investment advisory in 2007, spending 3 years at Mercer, before moving to KPMG in 2010.
Calum has a wide range of clients and experience, advising corporate pension plans, public funds, insurance companies and family offices on investment strategy. Calum leads our Scottish investment practice alongside David O’Hara. While based in Scotland, Calum’s clients stretch nationally and range from under £10m to over £1bn in assets under management.
Before taking on the Head of Investment Strategy role, Calum previously sat on both the Liability Driven Investment team and the Pensions Modelling team. He has designed and developed a number of pension risk assessment and solution development models which sit within our leading edge suite of risk models.
