KPMG in the UK

Prior to joining KPMG Restructuring in 2012, Rob worked for four years at a boutique restructuring firm in Australia and for three years in KPMG audit in the UK. 

Rob is a qualified insolvency practitioner and has built a broad range of restructuring and insolvency experience primarily across the financial services sector

Six month secondment at the Financial Conduct Authority, resolution department. Working to identify and minimise customer harm across firms either at risk of failure, failing or failed. This covered a broad breadth of regulated entities, including the e-money and wealth manager sectors.

Recent egagements include:

Strategic options analysis for two high cost, short term lenders - Assessment of options available to two distressed high cost, short term lenders which were suffering from a sector wide trend of receiving significantly higher volumes of affordability related complaints.

Engagement manager for two restructuring advisory projects in the transport sector – Working alongside the companies’ staff and legal advisers to develop cash flow forecast and outcome analysis under various scenarios and identify the key levers to be used by each of the management teams in their negotiations with their primary stakeholders for the consensual settlement of claims.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (In Administration) – Engagement manager role, including responsibility for overseeing the administrators’ team of over 20 staff in the first month following appointment and the preparation of the administrators’ proposals report to creditors.
