Mike is an Associate Partner within KPMG’s restructuring team. Mike has over 30 years’ experience as a restructuring adviser and insolvency practitioner, assisting stakeholders of stressed and distressed corporates and financial firms.
Since 2003 Mike’s work has focussed on businesses operating in regulated markets in the UK and cross-border, which has included the first-use of special administrations in the UK banking and financial brokerage sectors, and administration of a major UK airline, as well as business and asset disposals around the globe.
In addition to formal insolvency appointments – whether a tactical step as part of a restructuring or to wind-down an unviable business – Mike provides boards and other stakeholders with advice on strategy and developing contingency plans. He is also a board member of the insolvency profession’s professional body (R3) and involved on its technical and policy committees.
