Anna joined KPMG in 1992 in the Audit function. After qualification she undertook a secondment to the Corporate tax function and then in 1997 joined Transaction Services, where she specialised in sell side transactions for large corporates. Her clients included Nestle, GlaxoSmithKline and Unilever.
In 2003, Anna spent nine months on secondment to GlaxoSmithKline where she worked in the Consumer Healthcare division carrying out a range of strategic projects.
In 2009 Anna became the Chief Operating Officer (‘COO’) for the Transactions and Restructuring business of KPMG UK and from 2011 to 2014 took on the COO role for the firm’s newly formed Advisory function.
From 2014 to 2016, Anna relocated to Denmark to set up a new KPMG member firm there as COO.
She returned to the UK in July 2016 to take on the role of the partner responsible for Learning. This encompasses technical and core skills learning programmes for all levels of staff, from school leavers to partners, and includes our knowledge, professional qualification and coaching functions.
Anna was nominated to join the Learning and Professional Development board of the ICAEW in early 2017 and is a Route panel member for Legal, Finance and Accounting, Institute for Apprenticeships.
Anna took on the role of Head of People as interim in May 2017, and on a permanent basis from November 2017.
