Andy has 24 years of professional experience of which the last 17 has been as a full-time transaction adviser. Initially Andy gained a broad range of industry experience, including retail, transport & logistics, property & construction and manufacturing in KPMG’s Birmingham office, and moved to London in 2007 to focus on Real Estate and Infrastructure transactions.
In 2015 he took over as the UK National Sector Head for Real Estate, overseeing all of KPMG’s services to property companies and investors in the UK, and has focussed on real estate transactions since that time.
Andy has advised a number of investors who have bought and sold real estate assets in the UK and Europe within the commercial office, retail/shopping mall, industrial/warehousing/logistics, residential, self-storage, student accommodation and serviced office sectors covering both development and investment assets.
He has advised on some of the largest transactions in the European real estate market, particularly involving major shopping centres, and portfolios of logistics warehouses. He has also advised on a number of large airport and car parking transactions.
Andy is a regular speaker at property conferences and events, including at MIPIM’s RE-Invest Summit for the last 3 years, Property Week’s Sheds conference in April 2017, and was on a future-focussed panel at the British Property Federation conference in June 2017.
He is part of a KPMG team advising some of the largest real estate investors on the impact of technological disruption on the real estate sector, and was voted 6th in LendInvest’s Top 25 PropTech Powerlist 2017. He has also regularly spoken on the potential impact of Brexit on the property industry.
Andy is a member of the Management Committee of Real Estate Balance, an association run by a group of female and male leaders from different organisations and disciplines engaged in real estate who are focussed on addressing the gender imbalance in the sector.
