KPMG in the UK

Mary is Head of Clients and Markets for the UK firm and serves on the KPMG Board, Executive Board and Executive Leadership Team.

As Head of Clients and Markets, Mary leads the non-audit business which includes Tax, Pensions and Legal Services, Deal Advisory and Consulting, across Financial Services, Corporates and National Markets.

Mary joined KPMG from Willis Towers Watson, where she was Head of Client, Industry and Business Development, where she led her team to deliver $1bn of revenues. As a leading expert on risk and regulation, Mary has advised clients on all aspects of risk, regulation and financial crime. Prior to this role she was Group Head of Risk and Compliance. Mary previously served as Global Head of Financial lines ($300m P&L responsibility), Head of Financial Institutions and Group Head of Risk & Compliance.

Mary is a dual-qualified US and UK lawyer, and has served as a senior regulator in both countries, including as the Head of Approved Persons at the Financial Services Authority. Prior to this she was a Partner at an international law firm

She has been named one of Intelligent Insurer’s ‘100 Influential Women in Re/Insurance’ in 2016 and 2017 and a Business Insurance 2017 EMEA ‘Woman to Watch.’ Mary is also a regular speaker on ethics, governance and regulatory issues.
