Alistair is a Director based in KPMG’s Edinburgh office and leads the Corporate Restructuring teams across Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Alistair has 15 years of restructuring experience advising business owners, lenders and other stakeholders on all aspects of corporate restructuring, leading projects ranging from turnaround cases through to formal insolvency assignments.

Working across the UK but with a focus on the Central Belt of Scotland, Alistair has worked across a diverse range of sectors with significant experience in: financial services, manufacturing, construction, property investment / development, hospitality and leisure, retail and business / professional services.

Alistair also leads our Corporate Simplification and Pensions Covenant Advisory teams in Scotland. His pensions covenant advisory team advise employers and trustees on the financial strength of sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes and provide strategic advice during the restructuring, refinancing or M&A activity of sponsors. The corporate simplification team work with business owners to solvently wind up companies using the flexible Members Voluntary Liquidation (“MVL”) tool and assist larger groups of companies streamline their corporate structure using MVLs and Strike Offs.
