Richard leads KPMG’s financial services business in the Regions of the UK, and is KPMG’s Head of Challenger Banks.

Richard joined KPMG’s Manchester office in 1993 and moved to Leeds in 2008 after joining the partnership in 2005.

Richard acts as lead partner on various UK based financial services institutions, including challenger banks and building societies, co-ordinating and taking responsibility for the delivery of the full range of KPMG’s tax and advisory services.

During his career, Richard has specialised in corporate and business taxation, advising UK and global companies on a wide range of tax projects including transaction support, IPO readiness and execution, cross border financing and structuring, loss utilisation, negotiations with HMRC and corporate tax compliance.
