Michael has been with KPMG for 10 years, the majority of which based within KPMG’s market leading Scottish restructuring advisory practice. With a career that has centred on delivering projects across a range of sectors, Michael is well-rehearsed in entering new organisational environments, quickly assessing the key business issues, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver the desired outcome.
Michael has worked across a range of companies; from small, owner managed businesses; to large quoted Public Limited Company (PLCs), regularly working at senior executive/boardroom level, with most aspects of his role involving significant levels of stakeholder management.
Michael has led assignments with a variety of organisations to support large transformation projects, including performance improvement and cost reduction.
Michael is also the sector champion for the life sciences & pharmaceuticals sector, working alongside the sector lead Jane Hurst (Restructuring Partner), utilising his experience leading a number of projects in the field of medical research, working with Scottish Universities, evaluating the sustainability of University ‘spin out’ companies, and from working with medical device companies over a number of years.
