Professional and industry experience
- Programme Manager of a large security transformation programme for a UK mobile operator where KPMG was engaged to deliver a series of remediation plans across the client’s business functions including IAM (identity and access management), business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) networks, IT systems (billing and OSS) and HR. This resulted in successful CAS(T) certification and play station network (PSN) accreditation for the client within compressed timescales.
- Programme Manager of a significant portfolio of security product developments for a large UK fixed line operator, including both assured and protected products. This engagement required significant changes to the clients operations, network and IT systems (NSS and OSS) and also required Carl to interface with a number of government bodies on behalf of the client including PGA, NCSC and Cabinet Office. This resulted in significant additional security products for the provider to sell through the PSN framework.
- Carl has also occupied a number of senior manager positions within UK and overseas telecommunication companies including manager global internet protocol (IP) and data planning at Cable & Wireless, Head of IP and Design at Cable & Wireless and VP Engineering (PCCW International).
