Sam is a Director in the Restructuring Group having joined KPMG in October 2020. His background spans a 25 year career as a Senior Restructuring Banker, having worked across the major geographic markets including London, New York, Hong Kong, Sydney and Madrid with the likes of HSBC and National Australia Bank. Latterly, he has worked as a Principal Restructuring Consultant alongside KPMG on the wholesale turnaround of a European Financial Institution, focussing on both organic and inorganic restructuring solutions to maximise shareholder value.

Through his banking experience, Sam’s skills cover the full spectrum of workout strategies and solutions with a specific focus on heavily distressed (typically NPL) loan portfolio sales, large and complex single name (typically conglomerate) syndicated loan restructurings and exits together with structuring and exiting equity positions. In conjunction with this, Sam also works closely with the European distressed investor community identifying opportunities for deployment of capital and value creation.
