Nicholas is a Partner in KPMG and Head of the Dispute Advisory team within the Forensic practice. After three years as an accountant in general practice undertaking auditing and accounts preparation work, Nicholas has specialised in Forensic work for over twenty years, principally in accounting and valuation disputes. He has valued loss on many occasions in cases ranging from £100,000 to US$20 billion. Nicholas has been appointed as the expert witness in many cases in arbitration (ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, LCIA, Zurich Chambers of Commerce, Danish Arbitration Institute) and in the Courts in England, Singapore and Belgium. He has given oral evidence in the UK, Geneva, Singapore, Vienna and Washington DC. He has also acted as the Expert Determiner to resolve disputes. Nicholas has been selected by Global Arbitration Review (on the basis of client recommendations) for inclusion in their list of “leading expert witnesses” and has also been commended by the English High Court for the quality of his evidence.
