James has 16 years of restructuring and corporate finance experience. He joined KPMG in 2006 from a European Investment Bank where he specialised in Corporate Finance.
James specialises in company investigations, large scale turnaround and complex financial restructurings. He has worked for both companies and financiers across a range of industry sectors and jurisdictions, including the UK, the Nordics, Germany, France, Spain, US and extensively in the Middle East. His most significant assignments in recent years include the financial restructuring of Gala Coral and a large and complex restructuring of a Dubai based investment business. More recently he has assisted the management team of one of the UK’s largest private companies through a short term liquidity challenge and multi-stakeholder negotiation to put in place a stable period to complete a sale of the business. He has also recently assisted a large European Private Equity house negotiate a refinancing and restructuring of one of their under-performing portfolio companies.
James has advised on all sides of a restructuring and can bring this insight and experience to assist various stakeholders through a complex and delicate negotiation.
