Michael joined KPMG in 1989 and is currently a Director in our Fixed Asset Tax group. He advises major UK clients and businesses in other jurisdictions abroad, predominantly in the infrastructure and transport sectors.
He has recently worked on several sales and purchases of leased assets (including ships, aircrafts and rolling stock) and is familiar with the sale of lessors tax regime. Currently he is actively engaged with HMRC with the process of lease tax reform triggered by IFRS 16.
Michael also sits on the UK Chamber of Shipping Tax and Economics Committee. He lectures regularly to the leasing industry on UK tax developments and has worked with UK and overseas governments on tax policy matters.
Michael and his team organise a quarterly Leasing Forum for clients and contacts to discuss accounting, tax and legal aspects of the legal industry.
