Dominic is an Associate Partner within KPMG’s Special Situations Group (SSG) and has 12 years’ experience in supporting management teams to improve profitability and cash flow performance predominantly in the consumer sector.
Dominic has worked with several retailers and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies globally undertaking profitability reviews focussed on understanding the end to end (economic) profit generated at SKU and customer / supplier levels taking into account gross margin, operational costs and the P&L cost of working capital. The outputs underpin profit improvement activity typically centred on portfolio rationalisation, commercial renegotiation and operational cost reduction. Dominic has worked with management teams to design and implement the profit improvement initiatives.
Dominic has also led several working capital improvement programmes with UK and International retailers. The programmes have included identification, detailed validation and implementation of sustainable working capital initiatives covering payables, inventory and debtors. These programmes have generated sustainable working capital improvements of 15% (Gross Working Capital) on average.
