Bob has many years’ experience advising companies on equity market matters.
After leaving university and spending a short time with Turner & Newall as a graduate management trainee, Bob joined Hoare Govett in 1972 as an investment analyst. Then after three years with Hanson Trust as corporate development manager in the late seventies, he returned to Hoare Govett as a partner in 1980. He was initially appointed head of research and later became managing director of the UK equities business.
He left Hoare Govett in 1989 to co-found Makinson Cowell, the capital markets advisory firm that became part of KPMG in 2013.
