Darryl joined KPMG in 1982 and became a director in 1997 specialising in insurance.
Darryl has also been extensively involved in the run-off and closure of insolvent insurers, including English & American Insurance Company Limited, Sovereign Marine and General Insurance Company Limited, National Employers’ Mutual General Insurance Association Limited and British & American Insurance Company. He has also dealt with the insolvencies of insurance brokers, including FirstCity and Park London.
Darryl has led a number of engagements for the development and implementation of solvent schemes of arrangement for insurance companies, including those for insurance Pools involving numerous insurance companies.
Darryl has worked on a number of large legacy portfolio disposals for insurance and reinsurance groups. In addition, he has been responsible for a number of insurance group Independent Business Reviews, as well as group restructuring projects such as Part VII Transfers.
