Rick Hung currently serves as a Partner of the Tax & Investment Dept. KPMG in Taiwan. Before joining KPMG, Rick was an Assistant Manager of Audit Department in one of another Big Four accounting firms, with solid experiences in financial statement audits, listing advisory, and the certification of the income tax return. Rick now is also a member of KPMG Taiwan IPOs team, specializes in advising on tax-efficient structures and tax-saving opportunities for foreign companies planning to undertake IPO in Taiwan. He also participates in the return of funds by Taiwanese investors overseas back to Taiwan project.
Furthermore, with his resourceful knowledge and experiences, Rick often invited to give lectures for KPMG Startups & Innovation and KPMG Biotech-Healthcare seminars on tax-related issues. In addition to Biotech, Healthcare and Long-term care industry, Rick also provides tax planning advice to individuals and families regarding income tax, estate and gift tax.
Other advisory services including provides tax planning services regarding corporate investment structure, business model and shareholding structure, individuals’ estate and gift tax, cross-straits and international tax advisory services, assists in identifying and seeking tax-saving opportunities through domestic tax concessions, incentives and tax treaties and provides tax administrative remedy services and serves as a professional tax litigation agent.
