David Huang is the Partner of KPMG Law Firm in Taiwan. Highly regarded in the legal and commercial regimes relevant to the semiconductor and IT industries, based on over 20 years of legal practicing experience in both Taiwan and mainland China.

Unique hands-on experience with: (i) trade sanctions launched by the United States targeting semiconductor-related industries or IT conglomerates in mainland China; (ii) in-person interactions with high-level governmental law enforcement officials of the United States and mainland China; and (iii) management of regular export control compliance issues and export license applications as required by the United States and other relevant jurisdictions.

Proficient in (i) negotiation with top-tiered international tool suppliers, conglomerate customers, and patent trolls; and (ii) M&A projects in both Taiwan and mainland China. In 2010, David also represented a Taiwanese ODM/OEM conglomerate listed company to negotiate an amicable global settlement deal covering all disputes arising from a M&A transaction with a well-known technology company via creative strategies for international commercial arbitration and litigation in home jurisdiction. David recently represents a well-known Taiwanese pharmaceutical company in 2022 and obtains a victorious decision for the client at German Federal Court of Justice setting aside monetary damage claims as originally granted in an ICC arbitration award.
