Phyllis Chang


KPMG in Taiwan

Phyllis joined KPMG in 2003 and has more than 10 years of audit experience, including two years of audit practice in KPMG New York. She is currently on secondment in KPMG Thailand as the partner in-charge of China Practice in KPMG Thailand.


Phyllis has provided professional audit services to several large multinational groups in accordance with PCAOB requirements, U.S. GAAP, or IFRS. Her audit experience ranges from SEC filings, consolidated financial statements, and internal control audits to the successful coordination of global audit transitions. She joined KPMG Global Mobility Program in 2008 and was assigned to the banking segment in New York. She had undertaken audit engagements for U.S. banking clients during the 2008 financial crisis, including the audit for covered assets in Citigroup Bailout.


Her core accomplishments include:

Audit and attestation services

  • Conducted financial statement audits and local statutory corporate tax return certification for multi-national companies, international banks, broker-dealers, private equity funds and domestic high-tech manufacturing companies.
  • Performed detail analysis of all entity areas including sales trend and margin analysis, costing, financial instrument valuation, outstanding credit valuation, and review of compliance with local regulations.

Advisory services

  • Provided advisory services in relation to foreign issuers applying IPO in Taiwan.
