Hazel joined KPMG Taipei in 2006. Prior to joining KPMG, she worked in National Tax Office for more than four years and was in charge of assessing individual Income Tax and Profit-Seeking Enterprises Income Tax. Her area of expertise involves assisting Taiwan large-scale enterprises and foreign MNC to deal with global investment structure, business model planning as well as consultation service of indirect tax; assess of tax risk, design of transfer pricing policies, and request for tax interpretation order. She worked closely with international KPMG teams in other countries on various international tax project. Hazel is now committee member of Taxation and Tariff Committee, R.O.C. Association of Certified Public Accountant, Co–head of Crypto-asset and Token Economy Task Force of KPMG Taiwan Firm as well as Member of Startups and Innovation Task Force of KPMG Taiwan Firm. Hazel provides global tax planning, consulting and merge and acquisition services to Taiwan large-scale enterprises and is currently Head of Global Taiwan Practice of KPMG Taiwan Firm. Haze has been invited to be a lecturer numerous times for courses held by tax offices and for seminar KPMG-sponsored, and is a lecturer and gives tax-focused lectures for School of Public Finance and School of Accounting at National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University and National Taipei University.

Professional Service Experience

  • Assisting MNC to deal with global transfer pricing and business model planning as well as compliance related matters, including global documentation preparation, design and implementation of transfer pricing policies, and audit defense.

  • Taiwan and international tax planning and risk assessment, tax due diligence, M&A, restructuring, investment structures, tax cost minimization for cross-border transactions and reorganization.

  • lecturer numerous times for courses held by tax offices and for seminars KPMG- sponsored.
