KPMG, one of the “Big Four” in the field of tax, audit and consultation has taken a strategically important step. KPMG Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik A.Ş which provides tax services, is joining forces under the roof of KPMG Turkey, with Erdikler Bağımsız Denetim ve Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik A.Ş., one of Turkey’s deeply rooted audit and consultancy company.
Mr. Murat Alsan, Chairman of KPMG Turkey, says that with this merger, KPMG which has been operating in Turkey for the last 36 years, will continue to add to its momentum towards growth. Mr. Alsan adds that “Following the merger, KPMG Turkey will herald a new era in its field of activity thanks to its independent stand rooted in a business model based on trust and cooperation, its understanding based on skills and experience and with its professional standards and open communication principles.”
The merger between Erdikler Bağımsız Denetim ve Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik A.Ş. and KPMG Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik A.Ş. is aimed to be completed by December 31, 2018 upon finalization of the legal procedures.
Following the merger, the number of employees of KPMG Turkey will increase to 1,400, also adding up to the number of employees of its global parent company which operates in 156 countries with a total of nearly 200,000 employees to offer services in the filed of audit, tax and consultancy.
Following the completion of the merger Mr. Şaban Erdikler will lead the Tax Division of KPMG Turkey, and his deputy will be Mr. Onur Küçük, attorney at law.
