Servet Gözel joined KPMG Turkey in 2005 and has served as advisor at KPMG in the Netherlands. He has carried banking processes and IT audit engagements at global and local banks based on BRSA’s regulations. He provided audit and advisory services to banks per banking processes and COBIT framework. Gözel also leads audit and advisory services to payment service providers, financial institutions and POS manufacturers based on regulations of BRSA, Revenue Administration, Risk Center, etc. For sectors outside financial services, he is the responsible for IT audit involvement as part of the financial audit of clients in terms of practice standards, methodology and planning. He participated in third party services management service based on BRSA’s regulation on support services; providing improvement and implementation of risk management program, risk and performance management processes and third party internal audit methodologies. Gözel leads assurance services provided to companies, Banks and service providers with the frameworks such as ISAE3402, ISRS4400 (AUP), ISAE3000, etc. He leads KPMG’s cyber security services and team in providing advisory and penetration testing services based on regulations and global methodologies. Gözel carries out data & analytics services through computer aided auditing techniques (CAAT), involvement in audit engagements, revenue assurance and process improvement. Gözel actively supports firms efforts in being the thought leader in the Fintech, digital banking, digitalization, blockchain and digital ledger services.
