Under the new requirement of 56-1 One report, the SEC requires businesses to disclose their environmental policy, environmental performance, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and the policy direction reflecting their business intentions towards reducing negative impact on the environment and management of GHG emissions. The requirement also extends to the assurance and verification of GHG emissions by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) registered or competent international firm. GHG disclosure is a crucial starting point in assessing the risks associated with climate change, reducing the negative environmental impact, improving confidence within all stakeholders and driving the business to grow sustainably.
