Understanding Ransomware: Key Lessons from WannaCry

This executive breakfast briefing will focus on the latest global cybersecurity attack, the WannaCry ransomware, which infected over 200,000 systems in over 150 countries around the world. The malware launched a large-scale ransomware campaign against dozens of organizations, including hospitals, transportation, manufacturing and telecommunication companies, causing outages, delays and losses.

 

This session will be covering the following topics:

  • Understanding Ransomware: Discussion and thought-provoking presentation, including a demonstration on the latest cyber security issues, what to do when you’ve been compromised, and how to proactively prevent ransomware.
  • Key lessons from WannaCry: Operating system vulnerability that was exploited by the WannaCry ransomware and how to prepare you organization against further attack.
