2020 was a year of unprecedented change and hardship for individuals and organizations alike. This year has tested our agility, resilience, empathy and ability to work together, even when we needed to be apart.

In order to provide a fulsome view of CEOs' evolving priorities and perspectives as a result of the pandemic, this year's CEO outlook report represents combined feedback from two global surveys; a pre-pandemic study (conducted in January/February of this year) and a more recent COVID-19 Pulse Survey (conducted in July/August).

This year's report finds that despite challenges faced, Canadian leaders are moving forward with a sense of confidence, resilience, and persistence. They have accelerated digital transformations across the board, and are leveraging technology more than ever to drive growth, manage their digital workforces, and position themselves to thrive in the new reality. They are also re-evaluating what it means to "lead with purpose" and are looking to ensure that their organizations are making a positive impact when it comes to environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
