This publication illustrates best practice disclosures, updated to comply with the latest requirements of the Singapore Companies Act, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs) and Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) Listing Manual.

Applicable to companies with a financial year ending 31 December 2013, these illustrative financial statements have been updated to include, amongst others, example disclosures for: 

  • FRS 113 Fair Value Measurement which replaces the fair value measurement guidance contained in individual FRSs with a single source of fair value measurement guidance;
  • the change in accounting policies on defined benefit plans and bonus plans arising from the adoption of the revised FRS 19 Employee Benefits;
  • the amendments to FRS 107 Financial Instruments: DisclosuresOffsetting Financial Assets and Financial Liabilities; and
  • FRS 110 Consolidated Financial Statements, FRS 111 Joint Arrangements and FRS 112 Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities
