Irving is a partner in KPMG in Singapore and has been with KPMG for over 30 years, having worked in both the London and Singapore offices.  He has been a partner with the firm for over 20 years.

As the Head of Priority Client Coverage, he is responsible for the key clients for the Singapore practice across, Audit, Tax and Advisory as well as the non-audit Advisory clients in Indonesia.  Irving takes on this new role, after heading the Advisory business in both Singapore and Indonesia.  He was also the previous Head of People Performance and Culture as well as the Head of Clients and Markets.  His vast experience, both strategically and operationally cutting across many sectors and industries position him well to serve KPMG’s key clients. 

Irving’s key area of practice is in corporate governance, where he is also the KPMG APAC Leader for Board Advisory Services. He has undertaken numerous corporate governance reviews for both public and private organisations in light of the renewed focus in this area. He is a frequent invited guest and speaker at board meetings and presentations as well as public forums on corporate governance.

Irving also sits on the Board of the Singapore Tyler Institute (STPI), Singapore Repertory Theatre and the Advisory Board of the School of Accountancy of Singapore Management University.

In addition, Irving is a member of CPA Australia Sub-committee for the Public Sector.
