The pace of change has accelerated. New business models and channels to market are creating big opportunities for the insurance industry, meanwhile the challenges are becoming increasingly complex. In this ever-changing environment, insurers need to move fast and strategically, and draw upon new capabilities and technologies by leveraging a wide ecosystem of partners. They will need to rethink their value proposition, operating models, and customer relationships, as well as find new, innovative ways to use data. They must now, more than ever, drive their transformation agenda forward and adapt to the constantly evolving landscape.

Fredrik Bergström is the CEO of Länsförsäkringar AB. He joined Länsförsäkringar in 2013 as the CEO of Länsförsäkringar Stockholm and in 2018 took his current role as CEO. Länsförsäkringar received awards for Bank of the Year 2014 and most satisfied customers in 2014 and many years after that. He began his career in sales at IF Skadeförsäkring when worked as Head of Sales and Service and Head of Distribution between 1989 and 2007. In 2007, Fredrik got the role of Head of Retail at SBAB Bank. In addition to his role as CEO, Fredrik is, among other things, Chairman of the Board of Länsförsäkringar Fondliv, Länsförsäkringar Bank, Agria and a member of the board of the Swedish Insurance Employers Organization.
Michaela is the CEO and co-founder of Evident Life, a newly founded insurtech company in the life insurance business. Evident Life is digital through the core and has a passion for improving the customer experience. Michaela has worked in the industry for the past ten years, in Sweden and Norway, most recently with SPP as Head of Digital Operations, and Head of Insurance before that.
Steinar Danielsen is a Service Designer and Sustainability Lead at Volvo Cars affiliate M – Volvo Car Mobility, a smart mobility service offering urban individuals and businesses on-demand access to cars. Throughout his career, he has been at forefront of digital innovation and transformation and is a strong believer in the strategic power of design to solve complex social and business problems. Steinar is a strong believer in the power of the access economy and partnerships to create a sustainable future.
Martin is an experienced speaker in data & analytics within the insurance- and banking industry. As CEO for Insurely, he works to push for the digitalization of the insurance industry and make it easier for policyholders through the establishment of Open Insurance.
Magnus Franck is a digitalization innovator. He is at the forefront of digital transformation in insurance and, as CEO of Upptec, heads one of the most trusted partners to insurers in customer-centric claims automation. Upptec is the leader in automating claims in Europe and recently announced its entry into the North American market. Upptec's vision is to transform the world's insurance industry, by making claims automation simple, sustainable,
Josef Halldelius has in recent years focused on the Motor insurance business, both with direct business and via partners such as OEMs, dealers, and motor associations. He is part of Folksam General’s management team and as Head of Motor, the largest P&C portfolio at Folksam, he is responsible for all Motor products incl. sales, and P&L. Before joining Folksam, Josef had similar roles at If and before that, was a consultant at Deloitte and Coor.
Hanna Jacobsson is a board member of Skandia Liv, Tink and DBT. Prior to these roles she was the Chief Risk Officer at Klarna and was Group CFO at Nordea Life & Pensions. She has over 15 years’ experience in the Insurance industry and is a qualified actuary at the Swedish Society of Actuaries.
Annja is the Chief Commercial Officer and on the board of Eir Försäkring, an insurance company focusing digital underwriting and open insurance. Her previous experience is from the reinsurance industry, where she was a part of the team establishing JLT Re in the Nordics. Annja holds a Master of Economics from Stockholm University, has lectured on the Stockholm School of Economics and was, back in 2014, the first woman to win the prestigious Finance Master Thesis of the Year.
Waseem has been at AXA for 15 years. He joined AXA Insurance in 2006 as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for AXA UK and was previously the Chief Financial Officer of AXA Insurance. In 2018 Waseem took the role as Executive Managing Director - Claims of AXA Insurance. He has direct responsibility for all P&C claims and is responsible for 1700 FTE across 8 locations in the UK. Prior to joining AXA, Waseem was with PwC for 9 years where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and specialized in Financial Services transactions.
Johan Nystedt is CEO or Nordea Life and Pension in Sweden, a daughter company to Nordea, one of Europe’s top ten financial services companies in Europe based on market capitalization. Johan joined Nordea Life and Pension in 2006 after several years at the consulting firm Accenture. He has held roles including Head of Finance and Nordic Nordea Life and Pension CFO before stepping into the CEO role for Sweden.
Ylva Wessén is President and CEO of Folksam Group, Sweden’s largest insurance group measured in premiums. She has extensive experience in the insurance industry; gained during her fourteen years in different positions at Folksam. Prior to her current role, Ylva was deputy CEO for three years and held the position as the board’s secretary. Before joining Folksam, was an attorney at DLA Nordic, the Stockholm office within the DLA Piper group.
