Implementation of an integrated legal function ecosystem
The legal department of a client, a major Russian retailer, used a large number of outdated legacy systems developed internally for which almost no support was available. This entailed difficulties with modifying systems as new requirements emerged, a high proportion of manual labor and low efficiency of built business processes.
The client engaged KPMG to help with the selection and implementation of a set of new legal systems for high-quality automation of the legal department’s work.
The KPMG team developed and implemented a comprehensive legal function ecosystem, including a specialized portal for client employees to interact with the legal department, chatbots to help prepare requests for lawyers and answers to standard questions, a contract builder and a system for automating legal cases.
In addition, KPMG professionals reviewed and reengineered the client's business processes based on the implemented systems.
The client's legal department completed a transition to a set of new legal platform solutions. The introduction of our ecosystem made it possible to significantly simplify the communication of company employees on legal tasks, automate routine operations, improve the quality and speed of work of lawyers.
The flexibility of the set of solutions offered by KPMG allows the client to independently configure additional functions without the involvement of external specialists.
