During 2018-2024, the Russian Government has been implementing the project on mandatory labeling (Track & Trace) of consumer goods. Tobacco products, pharmaceuticals, footwear are already serialized and traced throughout the supply chain. Perfumes, textiles, dairy products and some other goods are under an experimental regime and will be included into the Track & Trace perimeter soon.
The Russian Track & Trace rules are far more complicated than international ones. Hence, a serialization project is a challenging task affecting all business functions involved in supply chain processes: production, quality management, logistics, IT, customer operations, internal controls, etc.
